OS & D Clerk
- Pay $19 - $21 / hour
OS & D Admin Clerk will address overage, shortage, and damage issues; research causes of claims; analyze root causes; determine resolutions; and communicate findings to management. The qualified candidate will be responsible to:
- Scheduling Delivery Appointments
- Review the on-time report and all delivery receipts with exceptions from the previous day
- Identify overages, shortages and damaged freight
- Receive and enter unloading exceptions
- Communicate with partner carriers and/or shippers for missing paperwork or freight.
- Works with terminals to determine corrective measures to prevent future claims
- Handle the disposition of the OS&D freight with the shipper.
- Answer OS&D calls from customers.
- Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Contact customers to discuss or resolve OS&D/On-hand issues
- Generate OS&D reports
- Billing-OS&D/On-hand
- Issue notices of undelivered freight
- Complete all necessary paperwork.
Experience/Skills:
- Minimum two years customer service, LTL experience or one year OS&D experience
- Professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to approach workload with a sense of urgency
- Analytical to process the data, identify error and generate resolutions
- Able to handle fast paced environment with attention to detail
- A strong work ethic and team mentality
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Able to type 45 WPM
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

- High School Diploma or GED
